Story about
Young Artist
I practiced human pencil art by illustrating a teenage girl wearing an apron and holding her right arm up as if she were drawing. This portrait of a teenage girl was inspired by a girl I met (Haeri) when I donated my artwork to the Asan medical center.
Capturing her pose and expression was exciting, as it conveyed a sense of creativity and focus. While I faced some challenges in expressing the thickness of the clothing she was wearing—especially around the folds and how the fabric draped over her form—I still found the process enjoyable. Each attempt helped me understand how to convey texture and movement more effectively. In essence, the young girl embodies me and Haeri’s identity as an artist. She reflects my own journey and passion for creativity, capturing the essence of who I am.
Overall, I loved bringing this character to life on the page. Creating this piece was not only a chance to practice my skills, but also a way to express the joy of being an artist.
